Triangle Of Success

Our guiding principles are based on our Triangle of Success model

Our decades of research, experience and publications have led to the culmination of the Triangle of Success model. We have discovered that the three elements of this triangle model form the basis of positive learning and wellbeing, which, in turn, lead towards greater success for children.

On this website you will find key information, guidance, practical suggestions and activities to help schools and parents to support children.

All parents want their children to succeed in school and in life. Teachers strive to help children to reach their full potential, enjoy learning and have happy school experiences. Success means different things to different people, but there are common elements in what parents believe contribute to their children’s success. Regardless of background and education, teachers and parents ardently desire for their children to be happy, healthy, have a good education and have a successful future.

We have captured this in our Triangle of Success model. It is designed to guide teachers, parents and carers through the exciting journey of helping their children towards success at school and in life. Our Triangle of Success consists of three parts, which, together, form the foundation of success and satisfaction in life.

  • Find and Nurture Gifts, Talents and Passions

Acknowledging and celebrating children’s special gifts, talents and passions helps them develop self-esteem, confidence and motivation. Finding children’s gifts, talents and passions can act as a lever to help engage and motivate them in their chosen field, but it can also help improve their effort in other areas.

  • Improve Learning Power and Outlook

Intelligence is not fixed and we can change a child’s learning potential. This is a strong message supported by research. Greater understanding of this concept helps parents to abandon deterministic views about educational stereotypes which are only based on test results. Nurturing children’s minds can help them to feel more optimistic about learning. This can lead to greater confidence in school and in later life.

  • Boost Health and Wellbeing

Schools and parents have a vital role to play in addressing all aspects of their children’s wellbeing. Young children’s lack of self-esteem, being subjected to bullying and suffering high levels of anxiety can lead them to disengage with their learning. This, in turn, can affect their achievement and success. Additionally, a child who adopts good eating habits is more likely to be able to think clearly and stay healthy, to achieve more. By helping children to have high expectations, develop grit and determination, parents can help them to increase their self worth. This can contribute to greater happiness and higher performance.
